- Course Description: This course is designed to give students experience in field measurement and mapping of structural features, outcrops, and entire areas of geologic interest. This course is project based, and the grades received reflect the quality and accuracy of the work presented in each of these projects. The projects begin by measuring and mapping a single structural feature, then moving up to an entire outcrop, and finally culminating in mapping an entire area.
