This week, in addition to our normal meditation sessions, Russ Ogden, a longtime BSPG member and local Jujitsu instructor will teach and demonstrate some basic martial arts and self-defense techniques. 2.We will be holding an introduction to Zen Meditation Workshop on Thursday April 22nd from 7:00-9:00PM in SAC Ballroom B. This workshop will be conducted by the Rev. Chang-Wu from the Chan Meditation Center in Elmhurst, NY and will include topics such as correct posture,various meditation techniques, and more. 3.The BSPG will be participating in a Long Island Multi-Faith Forum event on Monday, March 29th from 6:30-9:00PM. This event will be held at Temple Chaverim in Plain View and will consist of discussion panels with representatives from various faiths held before 200 8th-12th graders. If you are interested in helping out or in attending, please let us know and we will provide you with more details. 4. Saturday and Sunday, March 28th and 29th, the New York Buddhist Vihara will be having a Two-Day meditation program conducted by the Ven. Dr. Punnaji Thera. The Vihara will also host a one day meditation program on Saturday April 3rd. This program will be conducted by the Ven. Yogavacara Dhammarathana Thera.
