1. We will be holding a Zen Meditation Workshop on 
Tuesday September 23th from 6:30PM to 9:30PM 
and would like to know how many be interested in 
participating.  Please let us know ASAP so we can 
estimate how many will attend and make the 
appropriate arrangements, thank you.

News:
1. New session of Weekly English Meditation 
Workshop in upstate, Deer Park Retreat Center. 
Class include Tai-Chi and meditation.Tentative 
dates are as follows : 10/4,10/11,10/18,10/25,11/8,
11/15, and 11/22.

2. His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be giving a 
public talk on Sunday September 21st at Central 
Park, NYC. He will give a talk on "The 
Bodhisattva's Jewel Garland", a classic Buddhist 
text which deals with how to cultivate virtuous 
habits in everyday life. Seating begins at 10:00am 
and the actual talk begins at 12:00PM.  For more

3.Meditate NYC is an event taking place the 
week after the Dalai Lama??September teachings 
and public talk in New York.  Centers representing 
many Buddhist traditions will come together to 
present a week of meditation instruction and

4.The Buddhist Project is a series of currently 
ongoing exhibits which feature the Buddhist 
spirit in contemporary art in addition to exploring 
the many and varied relationships of Buddhism 
and the arts in contemporary American culture. 
Exhibitions, public forums, installations and 
literary events are taking place in the all over 
the New York City area and will run through

5.Two-Day Recitation Retreat Friday, Sep. 26, 
9pm to Sunday, Sep 28, 5pm.Devotional chanting 
of Amitabha Buddha. The retreat will be held at
