Never let your sense of morals get in the way of doing what’s right. --Isaac Asimov

Welcome to my webpage!

I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Political Science Department at Stony Brook University. I study American and comparative political behavior and quantitative methods.

My substantive research interests include values and morality, including comparative democratic values, distributive justice, fairness motivations, religiosity, and altruistic behavior. I am also interested in the role that emotions (especially moral emotions, like disgust, anger, and guilt, but also threat and mood in general) play in political persuasion, campaign and mass media effects, and political behavior in violent conflicts.

In methodology, I am particularly interested in measurement and covariance structure models, but also in experimental methods (including experimental game theory) and Maximum Likelihood Estimation.

When I’m not working, you can probably find me watching films and plays, reading compulsively, or experimenting with food. I also love travelling, especially when tree pollen count is low.
