How to Make a Movie
From what Manuel Prossli told us, we knew a lot more knowledge about how to
make a movie. There are numerous elements of movie making. Some of the important
aspects are screenwriting, directing, acting, shooting, editing and cutting,
and finally sound and visual effects. Other than the core functions associated
with filmmaking, the management and organization of the production process is
also crucial. The conception of an idea of a movie is the first step. A screenwriter,
if not already present, would be chosen to complete the script of the film.
Then the producer would have to visualize the genre of the film, and the style
of the shooting and editing. The genre and style, along with the content of
the movie script, contribute to the selection of prospect actors, directors,
editing and other supporting technicians. Once the candidates are determined,
the producer is able to estimate the budget of the final film and proceed to
secure sufficient financing. When the financing is in place,
To prepare for shooting, the producer must work from the script. The must-haves
for any movies would be the shooting equipments such as cameras, computer equipments
and lighting equipments. The stages and props also need to be set before the
shooting starts. This process can be very costly and time-consuming. However,
a smart producer team can produce movie sets at minimal costs and within a short
time. Some of the recommendations include taking advantage of actual locations
and using inexpensive materials to make temporary modifications. Another thing
to remember while preparing sets and props is to closely follow the original
scripts. Otherwise the director would have a hard time transferring the script
on paper onto a movie on screen.
