Departing Words

Hello name is Eguono Eduvie

Welcome to my website. This site consists of all my the hard and vigorous work I achieve within my 216 Visual Interpretations class over to course of 4 months. Here, you will found a poster, slideshow, and mini movie all entirely made by me.  With every project I tried my hardest to not only create something unique, but also to create something that’s different then what I’ve done before.

With the poster project, I try to emphasize the use of outside material, such as digital images posted on the Internet, to help benefit my poster.  This involved searching for images and digital enhanced them, using Photoshop.  The use of such programs like Photoshop really helps with cropping, color contrast, and fixing images. Also I emerged photographs taken by me to further support the main event.  With the use of imagery I hope individuals are able to understand where and what the event is about. Bright colors where use to help draw individuals towards the poster. Lastly, I emerge all the images plus information about the event using Microsoft word.

In comparison to the poster project, making a slideshow involved a longer preparation and editing process. Like the poster most of the work consists of working with still images/ photographs, but with this slideshow more images were used (about 60-100 frames) and then put it to a song. My concept consisted of depicting loving relationships between all types of cultural groups.  In this project again Photoshop was used to digital enhance the photos. But I mainly work in Window Movie Maker to edit and complete the project. I primarily used different transitions as well as color contrast, to emerge or go from one photo the next. The last process was putting the song with the slideshow. For me this was not a hard process, because the song is what initially inspired me to making the slideshow.

Lastly, the mini movie was the final stage with the use of imagery. By this time I’ve moved from working with still images to working moving images. The main point for the film was to demonstrate how older adults could still sometimes behave like young adults, especially when it comes to dating. To makes things little more interesting I decided to make it a short comedic film.  To get this done, it involved the use of costumes and a lot of props.  The one thing that was not use while making this movie was a script. There was no written script.  I thought just pitching the actors an idea and allowing them to make it up as we go along, would lead to overall better outcome, as well as funnier movie (which did). Finally, the last process was editing the film.  This involved the use of iMovie, which was pretty easy to operate. I basically just had to cut, paste and compress all my footage.

In the end, every project came out great and I definitely got my point across.  With this website I hope others are able to see my creative ideas and abilities.
