Image maps allow you to "map" one image file to multiple html links. Since Netscape 2.0, image maps have gotten much easier and faster. They can now be part of the HTML file as a "client-side" image map. Coordinates for the different mapped areas can be gathered through a share-ware program or within Photoshop with MB->Window->Palettes->Show Info.

The cursor allows you to move around the image picking points in pixel coordinates to use in the MAP tag of the HTML file. See the example page document source for the details of this tag.
