On Wednesday, May 7th, 2003, Students for Peace & Humanity received the outstanding advocacy award for our efforts in the promotion of nonviolence, social justice, and humanity.

The award was given by the Dean of Students at the Campus Life Award Ceremony to recognise commitment in social justice issues.  Karl Juhnke accepted the award on behalf of SPH.

The University recognised contributions made by members of the Stony Brook Coalition Against War in community-based, coalition building efforts.
