Purpose: As future physicians we don't
just want to be dry, boring, unsympathetic, science-oriented individuals.
We want to be compassionate doctors, sympathetic doctors, caring individuals
who are committed to making a difference in people's lives. One of the best
ways to show our compassion and helping others is through volunterring. The
outreach committee focuses on organizing group volunteering activities as
well as providing information to all members about the different ways to get
involved around campus and the community.

Purpose: Strive
to strengthen our relations with the Stony Brook Medical chapter of AMSA.
Committee members act as liaisons to the Medical school. We have also created
mentor-mentee relationships between Stony Brook medical students and premedical
students. Each year, we prepare for the Mentorship Mixer, an event where meds
and premeds can mingle and have a good time.

community and the exchange of ideas and information between post-bac pre-med
students or anyone interested in this route to medical school; organizing
post-bac events; and establishing a voice for post-bac students on campus.
