1. In order to be considered a Stony Brook Pre-med Society member, you must attend atleast 60% of the meetings held within a semester. The attendance will be tabulated at the end of each semester and given to the Prehealth advising office for their records.

2. If you are unable to attend general body meetings, you may join a committee.

More details on joining a committe:

- All members are welcome and encouraged to join a committee, it's a great way to get involved!

- Attendance will be taken at committee meetings and will count towards your overall attendence.

- Committee meetings are held at times that differ from the general body meeting, so that those members who cannot attend general body meetings ( thurs. 7-8 ) may also participate in SBPS.

3. In addiction to the attendance requirement, we will require that members participate in at least 2 outreach events per semester. - Outreach events include:

 

OFFICER Requirements:

If you are interested in becoming an officer you must have fulfilled the following criteria:

1. You must be a documented attending member for atleast a semester.

2. You must be nominated, either by yourself or a fellow member.

3. You must prepare a speech for the elections which are held in April.

4. You must be available during the summer to prepare for the Fall semester.
