|
General information:The Harriman Business Society is for all majors. Designed for improving member's success in a professional environment, the HBS can help you rapidly reach your goals. Because we focus on essential skills and information, all students can benefit from our agenda. Presentations, entrepreneurship, and a variety of guest speaker topics transcend every major's interest. The HBS is a proactive club. We learn by doing with hands on experience. Every member is invited to contribute - it's fun and builds your resume! Activities: We are a Polity funded organization, we are going to have seminars, presentations from companies and students themselves, the Sife project (www.sife.com), workshops, trips like the one at the NYSE, and social events. Affiliation: As a society we have a close relationship with the Career Center, from which Kimberly will come to some of our meetings and prepare us all for the many on-campus workshops and job fairs, so we all have a better presence in them. There are faculty members as well. Some of the advisors are Professor H. Lewis, Professor T. Sexton, Professor W. Wartell, have offered themselves in helping us succeed. We have a close affiliation with the Graduation Management Society, and to serve this purpose we have a Liaison to them. |
