            Sensei is offering this weekend sesshin for practitioners from his temple in Oceanside and for BSPG practitioners who would like to join. Sesshin will begin with dinner on Friday evening and go through lunch on Sunday. There will be a short sitting on Friday night and a brief talk by Sensei on how to sit sesshin most effectively. Sensei will give two talks, one each on Saturday and Sunday. We will also celebrate the morning liturgy. Sesshin is an opportunity to go to private interviews more than once.

Ven. Issai Chizen Denton Sensei is a Dharma successor of Ven. Mitsunen Kosho Nordstrom Roshi and a lineage holder in both Soto and Rinzai schools of Zen. He has been studying Buddhism for nearly 40 years.  In addition to being the head priest and resident teacher at Wagyo-ji Zen Temple in Oceanside, Long Island, he is also the Executive Director and Head of liturgy and training at Zenshin Temple in Yonkers, NY, and vice-abbot of Kugei-in in Melbourne, FL
