Welcome to AFRICA! The African Students Union (ASU) website at Stony Brook University. Since its formation, ASU has been able to create an environment and atmosphere where different cultures can come together with one goal and objective. Our main objective is to promote, embrace, uplift, and share the wealth and greatness of AFRICA within the Stony Brook community and beyond. ASU also provides all descendants of Africa including those in the diaspora a sort of ‘mental migration’ to AFRICA, increases awareness of the diverse and multi-cultural aspects of AFRICA and encourages interaction between our members and campus students of different races and religion through the exchange of ideas in the spirit of unity and humanity. Our doors are open to a multi-cultural society. As you experience this great journey through AFRICA, please do so with an open mind, embrace your culture and enjoy it! We may be out of AFRICA, but AFRICA surely isn’t out of us. God Bless!
