 Final Letter Grades will be assigned in the following way: the grades are curved, 
                                                             ~ upper 20% A-/A  (1/4 A-)
                                                             ~ average (drop outs eliminated from distribution): C+
                                                             ~ < 40 : F 
These cuts may change according to the distribution at the time of the grade assignment. A sample distribution from 
Fall 2005 in Phy 122 is here.  The actual distribution never changes more than a few points to the left or right.
Precise cuts are  NEVER  revealed for obvious reasons!

The format of your overall web grade is:
row 2 : maximum 
row 3:  fraction of final grade 
row 4:  your points and grade so far 
You can calculate your overall grade yourself: each contribution adds as
                          (row 4 /row 2)*row 3
and the sum is divided by (the sum over all fractions so far* 100) 
(see example below)

TOTAL=(92.0/100*0.1 + 75.5/100*0.1 + 95.8/100*0.04 + 8.90/10*0.16 + 69/96*0.18 + 78/96*0.18) 
/ (0.1+0.1+0.04+0.16+0.18+0.18)  * 100 = 82.1 so far
e.g. if 80/100 for final:
TOTAL=(92.0/100*0.1 + 75.5/100*0.1 + 95.8/100*0.04 + 8.90/10*0.16 + 69/96*0.18 + 78/96*0.18
+80/100*0.24) / (0.1+0.1+0.04+0.16+0.18+0.18+0.24)  * 100 = 81.6
