**Paper Bag Picnic Basket**
This craft can be done with children as young as 2 years old. Adult assistance will be needed for young children when using a scissor.
Supplies Needed
How To Do:The child can cut off the top half of the paper bag (about 1/4 of the bag). Fold over the rim of the bag (about 1") where you
just cut from. Cut a strip of paper from the 1/4 of the bag that you cut off. Use this strip of paper to make the handle. Glue the handle on to the
sides of the rim to make a basket. You can then decorate the basket with markers. Use the scissors to cut out pictures of food from
magazines and glue them onto the paper plate. Place plate in the basket for a picnic.
*Options
Since it is Father's Day this month you can have your Daddy take a real picnic basket while you have your picnic basket and take him on a Father's Day picnic.
You can also make a blanket for your picnic by using scissors to cut fringes around the edges of a large sheet of paper. Color paper with markers for
a picnic blanket (don't forget to draw the ants!)
Another option is to use the scissors to cut flowers, bugs or designs out of construction paper and glue them onto the blanket or the picnic basket.
