The hypothetical concept that I choose to use was,Nursery Rhymes. The engine that I choose to use under webtaxi was Altavista. The term that I searched under was nursery+rhymes and the number of sites that were returned to me were one thousand. The next search engine that I choose to use was Excite. The number of sites that were returned to me was two thouand, two hundred, and three.
The three sites that I found to be beneficial to my search under the engine Altavista were: Humpty Dumpty Web Text (www.bev.net/education/schools/ ces/ca/hd/webtaxi.html), Tooky Presents...Nursery Rhyme Songs (www.tookey.com/ normal/mall/malmusic/lsl/nurse/nurseoo1.htm), and Fun Songs and Folk Songs (www.stairway.org/kidsongs.html). The three sites that I found to be valuable to me from the search engine Excite were: Nursery Rhyme List (www.sq1.cit.gu. edu.au/~tracy/rhymes/list.html), Children's Literature Spots (www.2.jbc.edu/ mount olives/literature spots.htm), and Our Favorite Nursery Rhymes(www. intercom.cet/local/weeg/parker/30.html).
The three sites that I found to be ineffective to me when using the search engine Altavista were: Andrew Dice Clay Sound Bytes (www.bright.net/ ~mav5/diceman.html), Three Big Pigs(www.bookzone.com/bookzone/10000827.html) and A List of Teacher Handbooks Teaching Activities (www.libraries.uc.edu/ liboinfo/kinder.html). The three sites that I found to be ineffective to my search on Excite were: Re-Nazi Nursery Rhymes (www.cs.pdxedu/~trent/ochs/ archive/may96/msgooo20.html), Grateful Dead and Nursery Rhymes (www.uccs.edu/ ~adodd/goose.html),and Re:Please Critique:The Names Do Hurt (www.zapcom.net/ ~glade/wwboard messages/1/43html).
